*A Spiritual Journey*

Why I love Social Media And My Favorites Right Now

Nov 17, 2016

I love Twitter! and I have tweeps that I have been connecting with since 2013. Way before blogging was even a thought for me. I originally joined twitter to find others just as obsessed with the housewives on Bravo as I was at the time. Little did I know that I would be forming long lasting friendships with such beautiful people with big hearts. Some of My biggest supporters are from my twitter family. Special thank you to my SweetNeen and BurBerry,  xoxo.

I've also had the pleasure of connecting with other bloggers. When you look for it, it's so easy to find talent, kindness, and generosity. I found an amazing blog written by a beautiful soul. Her blog is thought provoking, insightful, and inspiring. Check out Nicole Gregory at A website that will transform you.

Instagram is also great for connecting. Everyone displays wonderful pictures of their lives and families. I get to be a witness to all these fascinating stories and events from people all over the world. One of the best features is that if you have a product or service to sell, this is it. This a a great tool. I see a lot of successful people using this forum. Of course, it got even better when sharing videos was added to it. It  can't get more fascinating than that!

Facebook is where I can learn what's going on locally and around the world in matter of 5 minutes (I skim a lot). A sleepy mom's best friend. Yes, all the info at my fingertips to catch up with almost instantly. It was a FB post that led me to read "The Afterlife of Billy Fingers" by Annie Kagan. A book that made me realize that we are eternal.

YouTube is my go to for information and inspiration. I can find everything from how to solve a math problem to how to hear your guardian angel. It's so alive with content and variety. I really wish I could get paid just to watch it :) The best thing is anyone can get behind a camera to share their experiences, knowledge, struggles, talents, accomplishments, not to mention many also promote their products and services here too. You can be the star of your own channel. Just genius!

Pinterest is unique. It's very easy to find what you are looking for with the added bonus of gorgeous pictures to match. It's convenient to save what you like and categorize your interests. It's a great tool for sorting and visualizing. I've used it to create my vision board and I love it. Very easy to find others who share your same passion.

StumbleUpon is new to me but I like it so far. I have come across interesting articles and amazing photos that I may not have seen in other platforms. You just simply choose your interests and every time you press the stumble button you get new web pages, photos, or videos on your specific interests. It's a great discovery tool.

Best Benefits of Connecting with others:

1. Get answers to any question in seconds.

2. Support (I've seen people support each other and encourage each other when they are complete strangers)

3. Get to watch families grow, children grow, life changing accomplishments, career changes, graduations, etc. Best of all people share how they spend their time with loved ones everyday, or on holidays, trips, vacations, and more. What  a treat and an honor to be a witness to all of this.

4. Our similarities and differences help us grow together.

5. Laughter. There so  many funny things shared on the internet, it doesn't take too long to find something comical. Laughing is a stress reliever.

Here is a short video of my little guy on a slide that was way too fast! Enjoy :)
